Donald Kay, M.D.

Donald M. Kay, MD, has been a practicing Dermatologist and Dermatologic surgeon in the Burlingame area for 30 years. He is on the active staff at Mills-Peninsula Hospital and serves as Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCSF. As well as being certified by the American Board of Dermatology, he holds a Special Competence Certificate in Dermatopathology.

Following undergraduate studies at UCLA, Dr. Kay received his M.D. degree from UCSF in 1962. He then served a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Wadsworth VA Hospital in Los Angeles, California,  followed by three years of Dermatology residency at University of California at San Francisco. 

Dr. Kay excels in all aspects of Dermatologic practice including:

•  Skin cancer surgery

•  Cosmetic Dermatologic surgery

•  All types of Laser Surgery.

He is a member of many local, national and international Dermatologic societies and has served on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Medical Society. Dr. Kay is also a community leader and has served seven years as an elected Trustee to the Burlingame School District. He is an accomplished pianist and art collector and enjoys skiing, hiking and travel.
