Donald M. Kay, M.D., has been a practicing Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon in the Burlingame area for many years. He is on the active staff at Mills-Peninsula Hospital, the courtesy staff at SF General Hospital and serves as Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCSF. At SF General he is an Attending Physician in Dermatology. In 2009 Dr. Kay received a Special Recognition Award from the Clinical Faculty Association at UCSF. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and holds a Special Competence Certificate in Dermatopathology.
Following undergraduate studies at UCLA, Dr. Kay received his BS and MD degrees from UCSF School of Medicine. He then served a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Wadsworth VA Hospital in Los Angeles, served three years as a Medical Officer in the US Air Force, followed by three years of Dermatology residency at UCSF.
He is a member of many local and national Dermatologic societies and has served on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo County Medical Society. He was voted “Top Doctors”, San Francisco Magazine, 2014, 2015. Dr. Kay is also a community leader and has served seven years as an elected Trustee to the Burlingame School District.
